RALEIGH — Ashley H. Campbell, an experienced trial lawyer, will become the full-time director of Campbell Law’s Blanchard Community Law Clinic effective July 1.

The clinic’s mission is to help individuals being served by local nonprofits remove legal barriers to housing and employment.  To date, law students staffing the clinic under Professor Campbell’s supervision have served more than 250 low-income clients while also gaining important client counseling and trial skills.

“Ashley is the absolute perfect person to continue leading our students in this venture,” said Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard. “Her reputation among her peers and colleagues within the bar is unmatched, and her passion for helping those in need is unquestioned. Her willingness to serve in this role full time will have an immense impact on our students as well as members of the community who find themselves in dire straits.”

Professor Campbell has been directing the Community Law Clinic part-time since it opened in fall 2017 while also managing complex corporate and real estate litigation for her clients at Ragsdale Liggett PLLC.  She will remain as Of Counsel at Ragsdale Liggett.

Repeatedly named one of the Best Lawyers in America in Commercial Litigation, Professor Campbell is active in the North Carolina Bar Association and North Carolina State Bar and is past president of the Wake County Bar Association and Tenth Judicial District Bar.
