RALEIGH – Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard, the Campbell Law Alumni Association Board of Directors most recent past Chair Kimberly T. Miller ’07 and Chief District Court Judge for the Tenth Judicial District Robert Radar ’85 were presented with the President’s Award at the Dec. 3 annual meeting of the Tenth Judicial District Bar and Wake County Bar Association.
Campbell Law’s Niya Fonville, assistant director of Career Services, and alumni Kimberly Miller and Brian P. Oten were elected as directors of the Tenth Judicial District Bar and Wake County Bar Association, according to Nominations Committee Co-Chairs Maria Lynch and Judge Ned Mangum.
Other 2019 award recipients and those honored during the annual meeting included:
- Other President’s Award winners Chief Justice Cheri Beasley, David Gadd, Day Matthews, Sharon Moe and North State Bank;
- The Badger-Iredell Foundation Directors Lucy T. Austin and Jeffrey P. Gray, who are also Campbell Law alumni;
- And Professionalism Spotlights included Campbell Law alumni Eric Braun and Melanie Shekita.
ABOUT THE TENTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT BAR AND WAKE COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION
Membership in the Tenth Judicial District Bar is mandatory for attorneys who are active and live or practice in Wake County, North Carolina. The Tenth Judicial District Bar investigates grievances of the public toward attorneys, handles fee disputes with attorneys and conducts judicial elections.
Since 1925, the Wake County Bar Association has been serving the public and the profession. Membership in the Wake County Bar Association is voluntary for lawyers and judges who practice and reside in Wake County and are engaged in private practice, government service, corporate employment and the judiciary. Currently, there are more than 2,300 members who have chosen to better themselves, the profession and the public by providing better access to and understanding of the legal system.
