The Lundy Fetterman School of Business will launch a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) Program in the fall of 2020.

This new program is the only one in the nation that offers a concentration in Financial Planning and Taxation. Graduates of the MAcc program will have met the educational requirements for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) exam and the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.  This unique combination of academic and professional credentials will provide a wide breadth of employment opportunities for graduates and fill an increasing need for accountants with a combination of accounting and financial planning expertise.

The MAcc program at Campbell will leverage the academic expertise and professional experience of highly qualified faculty. This program will provide students with a unique educational opportunity and a truly innovative curriculum that will establish the foundation for a successful career in accounting.

Designed to meet the needs of adult students, the MAcc degree program will allow the flexibility needed for students who balance busy schedules. Students may complete their scheduled course work in one year or choose an optional two-year program if it suits their schedules. Courses are taught in eight-week terms beginning in August, and each course meets one night per week from 6-10 p.m. at Campbell’s downtown Raleigh campus.

“The MAcc program leverages Campbell’s 50+ years as the national leader in Trust and Wealth education with the experience and knowledge of the accounting faculty to deliver a graduate program that will greatly benefit students and their employers,” said program director Pam Strickland. “After much planning and preparation, we’re excited to launch our exclusive Master of Accountancy degree program in August.”
