Dr. Karen Mishra, associate professor at the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, invited Bill Harper, CEO & Chief Creative Officer of wmHarper, to be a guest speaker for her MBA Digital and Contemporary Marketing Strategies course. Harper describes his company as a creatively led, full-service, fully integrated, digitally fluent, trend-spotting, innovation-first, brand-strategy-focused agency based in Raleigh.
Harper spoke with the MBA Marketing class on October 21 to share his insights and expertise about the current state of marketing, advertising and branding. He talked about his client successes and how he uses deeper insights to get at how customers really feel to make deeper connections between them and the brands they represent.
Dr. Mishra said, “It was great for our MBA students to hear from Bill about the role marketing and advertising play in building strong brands. One of the MBA students commented to me how helpful he was to her as she considers her career options in marketing. She has already connected with him on LinkedIn to keep in contact with him in the future.”
Having guest speakers such as Mr. Harper help achieve the goal of the MBA program which is to provide practical, hands-on, and individualized personal development for its students.
