RALEIGH — Campbell Law School will host its Third Annual Fundraising Bike Ride on Saturday, Oct. 2, Dean J. Rich Leonard has announced. The ride, which is co-sponsored by TREK Bikes, Crabtree Mall and the Campbell Law Student Bar Association (SBA), is set to begin at 8 a.m. and offers a 10-mile, a 50-mile or a virtual ride option.
The bike ride fundraiser is open to the public, with registration available until the day of the ride. Registration for public riders is $45 per rider. There is a discounted rate for current students, faculty, staff and alumni.
Onsite registration the day of the ride will be available for an additional $10 so register for the bike ride before Oct. 1 at this link.
In light of COVID-19, there will also be an option to ride virtually for those unable or unwilling to ride in person with registration open through the ride day.
Registration includes a limited-edition 2021 Campbell Law Bike Ride t-shirt and other co-branded swag. Following the ride, there will be a free beverage and food along with live music from our partners at Trophy Brewing. Like last year’s ride, the route will follow the same paths and will begin and finish at Campbell Law School, 225 Hillsborough St, in downtown Raleigh.

The in-person routes begin/end at the law school and are open to all skill levels. The ride is fully supported with rest stops, SAG vehicles and rider sweeps courtesy of TREK Bikes. Participants will receive a bib number and a certificate of completion.
All proceeds from the bike ride will go to Campbell Law’s six legal pro bono clinics:

- Gailor Family Law Litigation Clinic
- Innovate Capital Business Law Clinic
- Restorative Justice Clinic
- Shipman & Wright Sports Law Clinic
- Stubbs Bankruptcy Clinic
The law school’s clinics provide immersive experiences for Campbell Law students who work under North Carolina bar-certified clinic directors and aiding in active cases. The legal clinics also give back to the community by providing low-income citizens with legal counsel on a wide variety of legal issues.
