Campbell Law School students are partnering with alumni to offer employees at the Bob Barker Co. in Fuquay-Varina free wills and other estate planning documents as a benefit of employment.
Law students leading the Wills and Advance Directives Pro Bono Group at Campbell Law are working with Nolan Perry ‘16, of Morgan and Perry Law, to host a Wills & Estate Planning Workshop on Tuesday, March 22, at the Bob Barker Co.
Current Campbell Law students will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience interviewing clients and drafting documents, said Raven Byrne ’06, director of students and pro bono opportunities at the law school.
A lunchtime training workshop for law students was hosted by Perry on March 21 at Campbell Law.
Perry, who will supervise the law students, hopes to help draft estate planning documents for 25-40 employees. The students will travel to the Bob Barker Co. to assist with client interviews, drafting and execution ceremonies, among others, Perry said.
Barker and his wife, Pat, are both active Campbell University alumni and supporters of the university and the law school.
The Bob Barker Co. offers the broadest product line and largest inventory of corrections and detention supplies to federal, state and local government agencies and select businesses, according to their website.
