The College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences announced Taylor Murphy as the new director of Advancement. Murphy brings a wealth of experience in alumni relations, event coordination, and strategic communications to CPHS, where her skills will be instrumental in building connections, fostering support and enhancing engagement with our alumni and supporters.
Murphy joins us from Methodist University in Fayetteville, where she most recently served as the director of Alumni Relations in the Office of Institutional Advancement. In her role, Murphy orchestrated major events such as Homecoming Weekend and Family Weekend, coordinated multiple on- and off-campus alumni events each year, and tailored communications to reach diverse alumni groups. With a deep understanding of alumni engagement, she leveraged social media, digital outreach, and personalized responses to foster connections and address alumni needs.
Previously, Murphy also served as the assistant director of Admissions and Admissions Counselor at Methodist University, where she supported recruitment efforts and contributed to improvements in applicant conversion processes. Her broad experience across institutional advancement and admissions has shaped her into a dynamic leader who understands the significance of meaningful relationships across all facets of higher education.
Murphy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from Methodist University, along with minors in Legal Studies and Spanish.
Will Bratton, assistant dean of Administration, looks forward to Murphy’s contributions to CPHS, saying, “Taylor’s commitment to building connections, along with her extensive experience in alumni relations and event coordination, will be invaluable to CPHS.
