The Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences announced Dr. Paul DiMondi as the 2025 graduation speaker for the spring commencement ceremony.
A 2011 Campbell Doctor of Pharmacy graduate, DiMondi exemplifies the values of leadership, innovation and service that are central to the College’s mission. After earning his PharmD, DiMondi returned to Campbell as an assistant professor, where he played an instrumental role in shaping the next generation of pharmacists. He led didactic courses, mentored students through clinical rotations, contributed to curriculum development and served on key faculty committees.
His dedication to student growth and academic excellence earned him the Faculty Preceptor of the Year award in 2016.
In 2017, DiMondi transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry, where he has continued to make a meaningful impact. Over the years, he has held roles at Janssen, Pfizer, and currently ViiV Healthcare, where he serves as director of Scientific Communications and Medical Education. His career has spanned medical communications, clinical education, and scientific research —including leadership in investigator training for more than 50 clinical trials and numerous peer-reviewed publications focused on infectious diseases.
At ViiV, DiMondi leads publication strategy, fosters digital innovation, and oversees research aimed at improving outcomes in HIV treatment and prevention — a mission that aligns with his enduring commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice.
DiMondi’s journey from Campbell student to health care industry leader embodies the spirit of excellence and adaptability that CPHS strives to instill in all graduates. His story is a testament to the power of a Campbell education and the far-reaching impact of its alumni.
