Buies Creek, N.C.–Campbell University and ARAMARK, the university’s food service provider, officially welcomed Quiznos sub shop to the Buies Creek community at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, Dec. 3.On hand for the event were university leaders Jim Roberts, vice president for Business and treasurer; Dr. Dwaine Greene, vice president for Academic Affairs and provost; Dr. Dennis Bazemore, vice president for Student Life; Dr. John Roberson, vice president for Marketing and Planning; Student Body President Chris Haigler; District Manager for ARAMARK Jeff Gazada; and Larry Aldridge, director of Food Service for Campbell. The Quiznos sub shop is located at 285 Main Street in Buies Creek.Quiznos is a nationally branded sub and sandwich shop featuring a variety of deli items at a reasonable price. The restaurant’s chef-inspired recipes are created using quality ingredients like artisan breads, signature sauces, freshly sliced meats and fresh vegetables.”This is another quality option for our students here in Buies Creek,” said Roberts. “The dining options we’ve added, including Chick-fil-A, Starbucks and now Quiznos, are ones both students and the community are looking for. We’re glad that Campbell is able to bring businesses like these to the community when individuals can’t. We’re proud of our food service provider ARAMARK for what they’ve done to make this Quiznos a reality.”Campbell Student Body President Chris Haigler said Quiznos’ “Traditional” roast beef and ham sub was his favorite menu item.”The students of the university have so far given excellent feedback on the Quiznos restaurant just in its grand opening stages,” Haigler said. “As Student Body president, I’m proud to be a part of the official grand opening event.”Campbell University decided to renovate one of its buildings on Main Street in Buies Creek to provide a home for this popular sub concept.
