Drummer Ed Shaughnessy, season opener for Campbell University’s Fine Arts series, will share memories of his experiences as a jazz drummer for “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson. Shaughnessy will speak at the Cape Fear Friends of the Fine Arts (CFFA) annual dinner meeting prior to performing in Turner Auditorium at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13. The dinner will be held at 6 p.m. in Marshbanks Dining Hall.Shaughnessy has recorded extensively throughout his career and has appeared with talented musicians such as Sammy Davis, Jr., B.B.
