Melissa Essary, Dean of the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University, has announced the appointment of Britt Davis as the Law School’s first Director of Development.Commenting on the appointment, Dean Essary said, “We are extremely pleased that Britt Davis will be joining the Law School as our first Director of Development. He brings a wealth of experience in managing fund-raising campaigns and collaborative projects among leading private colleges and universities in Oregon and Virginia. We’re delighted to have him involved in building the future of the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law.”From 2004 through April 2007 Davis served as President of the Oregon Independent College Foundation (OICF), a nonprofit consortium that generates resources and manages select collaborative projects among ten Oregon private colleges and universities. During his tenure at the OICF, Davis helped the organization double annual fund-raising results through the implementation of several high profile projects that focused on student scholarships, increasing campus diversity, ethics and leadership, student intern partnerships, and other initiatives relevant to OICF member colleges and the regional business community.From 1999-2004 Davis served as a Vice President of the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges, a consortium of 15 Virginia independent colleges and universities. Prior to this appointment, Davis lived in the Washington DC area for 13 years where he managed corporate member relations for two industry trade associations, The Association for Manufacturing Technology and the Consumer Electronics Association. Davis has a BS in Parks, Recreation & Leisure Studies and a Master of Public Administration from George Mason University. Britt’s wife, Danielle Davis, also has a graduate degree from George Mason University, as well as a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland. The Davis’s are proud parents of two young daughters, Rachel and Elizabeth.Commenting on the opportunity, Davis said, “I am honored to be part of Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University.
