Professor Raluca Papadima earns tenure, promotion

RALEIGH – Campbell Law School Professor Raluca Papadima has been promoted to Associate Professor and granted tenure by the Campbell University Board of Trustees. The board approved Papadima’s promotion and grant of tenure at its October 2025 meeting.

Papadima, who joined Campbell Law in 2019, teaches Business Organizations, Sales & Leases, Mergers and Acquisitions, International Business Transactions and International Arbitration. She also helps coach the teams competing in the Willem C. Vis international Moot Court Competition in international commercial contracts and arbitration.

Prior to joining Campbell Law, Papadima worked as a corporate attorney at Latham & Watkins and Greenberg Traurig in New York. Papadima earned a J.D. from the University of Bucharest (Romania), a J.D. in European Law from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (France), an LL.M. in Corporate Law from the University Paris 2 Pantheon-Assas, an LL.M. in Corporate Law from Harvard Law School and an S.J.D. from the University Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne and the University of Bucharest. Her clerkship experience includes the European Court of Human Rights, the Supreme Administrative Court of France and the Delaware Supreme Court.

Papadima’s numerous publications, in American, French and Romanian law reviews, focus on comparative analyses within the her main fields of expertise: Corporate Law, Commercial Contracts and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
