Winston elected to Campbell University Advisory Board

Robert Lee Winston, of Raleigh, N.C., has been elected to the Campbell University Presidential Board of Advisors. Winston recently retired as regional director of Action, a federal volunteer agency which oversees volunteer organizations Americorps, Freedomcorps and Senior Corps. Winston was appointed to the position by President Ronald Reagan and national director, Tom Pauken, in 1981. Prior to this appointment, Winston served as superintendent of the Oxford Orphanage in Oxford, N.C., from 1975-1981.He graduated from Campbell College in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science degree in social studies and history. Winston completed industrial cooperative training at Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1965.He is married to the former Lynda Lilly of Oxford.
