Campbell University presents “Gospel Explosion” with national artists RiZen

Campbell University presents the 2nd annual HIV/AIDS Awareness Gospel Explosion featuring national recording artists RiZen, the Campbell University Gospel Choir and a host of other performers. The concert is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10; at 6 p.m. in Turner Auditorium with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. The concert is sponsored by the student pharmacy organization SNPhA, the Student Government Association and the Campus Activities Board.”This is one of the greatest events of the year,” said Dr. Vikki Armstrong, faculty advisor to the SNPhA. “We have some of the best gospel music and it’s all for a good cause, to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS.”A portion of a collection taken at the concert will be used to benefit Operation Sickle Cell, Inc. in Fayetteville, N.C.Also performing at the event will be gospel choirs from East Carolina University, Richmond County, N.C., and Miss Talented Teen North Carolina, Domonic Davis.To guarantee a seat, reserve tickets are available at the Information Desk in the Wallace Student Center.
