Choral Director Phillip Morrow describes it as Campbell’s Christmas card to the community. The annual Christmas at Campbell concert featuring the Campbell University Choir will be presented on Monday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. in Turner Auditorium on the Campbell campus. Admission is free and open to the public.”The program consists of Christmas music and carols both traditional and modern,” said Morrow. “It’s a very eclectic program. It’s the music of the season and we hope to bless everyone who attends.”Performing with the University Choir will be the Choral Society, made up of members of the community, and the Children’s Choir. Perfecting their pieces at choral camp this summer, the Children’s Choir will perform “Carol of the Children” by John Rutter, “Best of All Friends,” by Lee Scott and the Bach/Gounod “Ave Maria.”Also featured are Campbell University horn instructor Allan Winter and guitarist Milen Parashkavov. Winter, who plays French horn, will perform “Christus Natus Est” by Paul Basler and Parashkavov will accompany the choir on guitar as they perform a Spanish carol, “Nannita Nana,” which is a lullaby to the baby Jesus. The program will close with the traditional “Silent Night, Holy Night,” performed by all of the Campbell choirs.
