Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences continues to demonstrate excellence in pharmacy education, reporting strong licensure examination outcomes for the PharmD Class of 2025.
The program’s latest results reflect a continued commitment to academic quality, student success, and practice readiness. In the program’s history, the PharmD program has surpassed the national average in 35 of the past 36 years (97.22 percent), including a current 10-year streak.
According to data from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy, Campbell’s PharmD graduates achieved an 89.4% first-time pass rate on the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX), with 66 graduates testing. The national first-time pass rate was 86.8 percent among 9,869 graduates. Graduates also excelled on the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE), posting an 86.0 percent in-state pass rate among 57 graduates. The national in-state pass rate was 76.7 percent.
Based on three-year performance data, Campbell’s PharmD program ranks:
- 12th nationally among accredited private institution PharmD programs for the NAPLEX
- 5th nationally for MPJE performance among private institutions
The program also remains in the top tier among all 144 accredited PharmD programs for NAPLEX performance, as previously reported in the Journal of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, a tier composed of nearly 70% public institutions.
“These outcomes reflect the dedication of our students and the commitment of our faculty and staff to high-quality instruction, advising, and board preparation,” said Dr. Scott Asbill, associate dean of Pharmacy & Academic Affairs. “We are proud of the Class of 2025 and will continue using performance data to strengthen preparation and support student success.”
