Students from the Doctor of Pharmacy program have advanced to the second round of a national clinical research competition, earning a place among the Top 40 teams in the country.
The Campbell Student College of Clinical Pharmacy team recently competed in the first national round of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Clinical Research Challenge, a highly competitive, multi-phase contest designed to strengthen student skills in research design, critical thinking, and scientific writing. The team’s successful performance secured advancement to the next phase of the competition, which will require participants to develop and submit a formal letter of intent.
The student team includes PharmD, Master of Public Health and MBA candidates Kyle Crevling and Whitney Roxy Lammers and PharmD and Master of Public Health candidate Alexandra Nawrot, who represented Campbell University with distinction during the national round.
“I am very proud of Kyle, Roxy, and Alex for representing Campbell so well on a national stage,” said Grace E. Barr (’20 PharmD), clinical assistant professor of Pharmacy Practice at Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. “Their advancement reflects their hard work, dedication, and strong preparation in clinical research.”
The ACCP Clinical Research Challenge brings together pharmacy students from across the country and mirrors real-world research processes, giving participants valuable experience that extends beyond the classroom.
The Campbell team will now move on to the second round of the competition, continuing their pursuit of excellence in clinical research and scholarship.
