RALEIGHIn honor of Campbell Law School’s 50th anniversary, members of the student-led Women in Law group will host an hour-long panel commemorating 50 years of Campbell Law — specifically 50 years of women at the law school.

The event is set for 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, at the law school in Room 105 and will bring together a distinguished group of alumnae whose careers reflect the wide-ranging impact of a Campbell Law degree.

Panelists include the Honorable Judge Jane Gray ’79, the Honorable North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine Marshall ’81, Vice Dean Raven Byrne ’06 and Raleigh attorney Amy Clay ’16. The discussion will be moderated by Professor Emerita Margaret Currin ’79, a member of the first graduating class, former Academic Dean and member of the law school’s Alumni Association Board of Directors. Together, the panelists will share their professional journeys and reflect on how their time at Campbell Law helped shape their paths in the legal field.

Campbell Law alumni are also invited to attend the event to create a full-circle celebration of the women who have contributed to the school’s legacy over the past 50 years, explains Women in Law President Katelyn Gallimore ’26. Following the panel, guests are encouraged to gather in the Pope Foyer for networking and conversation with fellow women in law. Hors d’oeuvres, sponsored by Ellis Winters LLP  and LexisNexis, will be served, offering attendees the opportunity to connect with accomplished alumni and build new professional relationships. If you plan to attend, please RSVP at this link.

In addition to the program, Women in Law is preparing commemorative event booklet highlighting women from the Campbell Law community. Organizers welcome nominations of mentors, colleagues, employers and alumni to be featured, showcasing the strength and diversity of Campbell Law’s network. If you have any suggestions of who should be included in the booklet, please fill out a form this link. The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 20.

“The event promises to be both a meaningful reflection on the past and a celebration of the future, honoring the women who have helped define Campbell Law for the last half-century while inspiring the next generation of legal professionals,” Gallimore added.
