RALEIGH – Campbell Law School alumna Imani Henderson ‘26 was recently featured in an article entitled, “A smarter approach to LSAT prep: Expert tips, student success strategies,” published on Sept. 11, 2026, in The National Jurist magazine.
Henderson, who graduated in May, told the magazine she took the LSAT three times before achieving her desired score of 154 in 2023.
The magazine reported that what made the difference for Henderson the third time around was working with a tutor and dedicating about four months to preparation, which she said allowed her to develop solid test-taking skills. She also had a job that offered a regular schedule, making it easier for her to study.
“I learned the language of the test, so to speak,” Henderson was quoted in the magazine.
Previously she told the magazine she had gone the self-study route and had school and work commitments that made it more difficult for her to prepare. While she took a lot of practice tests while studying on her own, she said she did not approach the test strategically.
“I was essentially going through the motions, reading and answering questions,” Henderson told the National Jurist, adding her final score landed her in the school of her choice and earned her a full-tuition scholarship as well.
Henderson passed the July North Carolina bar exam with a score high enough for admission in every UBE jurisdiction, she wrote on LinkedIn.
“Law school challenged me, stretched me and taught me what perseverance really looks like. There were moments along the way when the path ahead felt uncertain, but God continued to remind me that His plans are greater than anything I could see in the moment. Today, I can look back at every challenge, every late night, every prayer and every person who encouraged me along the way with so much gratitude. Jesus is King, and God has been faithful through every part of this journey. I am officially an attorney, and I am so excited for what comes next!”
Henderson added she is actively seeking opportunities to grow as a young attorney, particularly in land use, construction law, municipal/local government and civil litigation.
