RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law School’s Hispanic Law Student Association (HLSA) will host its third annual Salsa Night on Friday, March 22, at Solas Restaurant & Lounge in Raleigh. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Capital Area Teen Court.
For a $10 donation, participants can enjoy an evening of salsa lessons, dancing, and appetizers. Doors will open at 7 p.m., with salsa lessons beginning at 8 p.m. Lessons will be taught by a professional instructor that will lead participants in learning a variety of dances, including salsa, merengue, and bachata.
All proceeds and benefits until 10 p.m. will go directly to the Capital Area Teen Court, as will a percentage of all dining proceeds. Donations will also be taken at the door.
Campbell Law’s HLSA was created to raise awareness of legal issues impacting the Hispanic population. The organization sponsors several educational and service-oriented projects each year, including Salsa Night, a Thanksgiving project with the Raleigh Rescue Mission, and a legal clinic with the North Carolina Justice Center to serve individuals eligible for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
Capital Area Teen Court provides first-time youth offenders between the ages of nine and 17 with an opportunity to receive a second chance, while being held accountable for their actions. For more information, visit http://www.capitalareateencourt.org/.
