Campbell gears up for Homecoming & Family Weekend

Students, alumni, faculty and staff will be sporting orange for Campbell University’s Homecoming & Family Weekend celebration on Saturday. Main campus will host events throughout the week leading up to the weekend parade and football game vs. Hampton. A Homecoming schedule can be found below. Walter S. Barge Memorial Scholarship 5K Run

Join us for the Walter S. Barge Memorial Scholarship 5K Run. T-shirts are available for the first 100 people to register. Strollers are welcome. 

Alumni Campus Tours

Campus tours will be led by alumni volunteers and will depart from the Cornelia Campbell Alumni House promptly at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Registration is required.

Official Class Ring Ceremony

Join us at 10 a.m. in Butler Chapel as students receive their official class rings. Campbell ROTC cadets escort the rings from the bell tower to Butler Chapel and each student is presented their ring by President J. Bradley Creed.

Faculty Reception

A Faculty Reception from 11 a.m. to noon will provide an opportunity to meet your student’s professors or get in touch with professors from your years on-campus. 

Wrestling Orange & Black Scrimmage

The Campbell wrestling team will be on the steps of the Pope Convocation Center at 11:30 a.m. as the team begins preparation for their season. The Orange and Black matches include matches from both this year’s team and a few alumni who will take the mat one more time. Rain location: Wrestling Room

Homecoming Parade

Campbell’s Homecoming Parade begins at noon and runs down Main Street from the Convocation Center to the Post Office.  This parade is full of floats from University Clubs & other organizations, as well as Campbell’s very own Marching Band, the Sound of the Sandhills.
 

Alumni Village

Campbell alumni, family members, and friends are invited to a tailgate celebration outside of Barker-Lane Stadium to celebrate our Campbell pride in Alumni Village prior to the Fighting Camels taking the field. Enjoy live music by Bantum Rooster, food trucks of all varieties, and class celebrations for the classes of 1979, 1994, 2009, and the Golden Club. Be sure to check Athletics’ website for parking and game-day information. 

Class of ’79, ’94, ’09 and Golden Club Reunions

Celebrate with fellow classmates in Alumni Village from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.  Special treats for all who register for their class reunion. The Golden Club is comprised of all alumni celebrating a 50-plus year graduation anniversary with the University.

Join us for an exclusive meet-and-greet opportunity with Campbell President J. Bradley Creed and New Athletic Director Omar Banks at 1:30 p.m. in Alumni Village. 

Homecoming Football Game

Cheer on the Fighting Camels as they take on the Hampton Pirates on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 4 p.m.
