RALEIGH, N.C. – More than 250 friends and family members attended Family Day and Law Day events that were jointly held on Saturday, February 19. The Family Day program was hosted on campus on Saturday morning and gave the families of current students time to interact with faculty, hear presentations and learn more about their students’ activities in law school and the Campbell Law program.
The Law Day dinner program was held at the North Raleigh Hilton Hotel that evening with Professor Johnny Chriscoe providing the keynote address. Professor Chriscoe was also presented with the Most Outstanding Professor Award for 2010-2011. Awards for academic achievement, service awards and other student recognition were given throughout the evening. The Federalist Society won the Outstanding Student Organization award and the coveted David R. Teddy Innovative Leadership Award was presented to to third-year law student and Student Bar Association President Clayton V. Byrd.
“Family Day and Law Day are always special for the Campbell Law community,” said Dean Melissa Essary. “It’s a great way to involve the families and friends of our students in the program and to highlight the achievements of our students and faculty members.”
