$450,000 Donation Ensures Future of Program through 2030

Campbell University 2016 Winter Commencement

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (CPHS) has received a pledge of $450,000 from the Ransdell Charitable Trust to support the Health Professionals Readiness and Enrichment Program (HPREP).

“We are deeply appreciative of this donation from Mr. Bobby Ransdell and his family,” said Michael L. Adams, PharmD, PhD, dean of CPHS. “Providing underserved and underrepresented students the chance to explore career options and personally develop themselves is a passion of the Ransdell family.”

Adams continues, “In consideration of their generosity and giving spirit, the Campbell University Board of Trustees voted to name HPREP in honor of the Ransdell Family. Through this donation, the Ransdell Family Health Professionals Readiness and Enrichment Program has been funded through 2030, which will allow approximately 900 students the opportunity to participate.”

Bobby Ransdell (pictured above), head of the Ransdell Family Charitable Trust and generous CPHS philanthropic donor, commented, “I believe it’s important that prospective students have every advantage and opportunity to further their education and to better themselves. This donation to the program is in honor of my parents, Mary Utley Ransdell and James Crawford Ransdell, Sr., and my family.”
