Angier resident elected Campbell University Presidential Advisor

Buies Creek, N.C.—Willis Henry Gregory, of Angier, N.C., has been elected to Campbell University’s Presidential Advisory Board. Gregory is the owner of WR Rentals, Inc. in Angier, a storage facility and office complex.

A farmer and manufacturer for 25 years, Gregory and his brother Albert, now deceased, invented Soda Flo,an efficient fertilizer hopper for tobacco transplanters. Gregory also invented a blower for gas logs that is universally used.

A man of many accomplishments, Gregory was named the 2001Outstanding Manufacturer of the Year by the Harnett County Economic Development Commission. He is a member of the Angier Kiwanis Club, the First Federal Bank Board of Directors and served as a Boy Scout leader for eight years. During his tenure with the Boy Scouts, Gregory won the Occoneechee Council Eastern North Carolina Pinewood Derby competition three years in a row.

Gregory has served his church, Angier Baptist, in many capacities, including membership in various committees and as a deacon. He is married to the former Rita Beckham of Shallotte, N.C.
