Annabelle Fetterman elected to Campbell University Board of Trustees

Buies Creek, N.C.—Annabelle Lundy Fetterman, of Clinton, N.C., has been elected to the Campbell University Board of Trustees. Fetterman served as Executive Vice President and CEO of The Lundy Packing Company, the pork processing plant founded by her father Burrows T. Lundy in 1950. Fetterman will fill the unexpired term of her late husband Dr. Lewis Fetterman, Sr.

Under Fetterman’s leadership, the Lundy Packing Company won many industry awards for marketing innovations and processing operations. Fetterman sold the company to Premium Standard Farms in 2000.

Over the years, Fetterman has been honored numerous times. She was named one of the top 50 women executives in the nation by Working Woman Magazine, was inducted into the North Carolina Pork Council Hall of Fame, and received an honorary degree from Campbell.

Fetterman’s has also been a life of civic responsibility. She served as a trustee of Union Theological Seminary and on the Board of Annuities and Relief of the Presbyterian Church of the U.S. She was also a Ruling Elder at Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church in Clinton. In addition, Fetterman has been an advisor for Peace College, Mary Baldwin College, Washington and Lee University and Campbell University. Other board memberships include the North Carolina Symphony Foundation, the North Carolina Community Foundation and the North Carolina State University Foundation.

Avid Campbell supporters, Fetterman and her late husband established a number of academic scholarships, an academic chair and assisted with the funding for the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, as well as supported numerous other capital projects on campus.
