BUIES CREEK — W. Mark Moore, PharmD, has been selected as a member of the 2014-2015 cohort of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy’s Academic Leadership Fellows Program.
The Academic Leadership Fellows Program is a prestigious professional development program for pharmacy faculty interested in honing their leadership skills in pharmacy education and beyond.
The AACP Academic Leadership Fellows Program was created in response to a need for pharmacy leaders to address challenges within academic pharmacy. The year-long program provides four intensive meetings focused on in-depth leadership development, team building, and exploration of public policy issues relevant to pharmacy education. The program only accepts a cohort of 30 participants nationwide each year.
“I commend Dr. Moore for his dedication to not only our students, but to professional development,” said Ron Maddox, PharmD, founding dean of the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. “As a faculty member and alumnus of our program, he is demonstrating to our students that learning opportunities do not stop at the end of a required curriculum.”
Moore is a 2000 doctor of pharmacy graduate of the Campbell University School of Pharmacy and a master of business administration graduate of the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. He currently serves as the associate dean of admissions and student affairs and an assistant professor within the department of pharmacy practice for Campbell’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.
