Beavers takes part in Citrix Legal Advisory Program panel

RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law School Career & Professional Development Center Director Julie Beavers served as a panelist at the Citrix Legal Advisory Program on Friday, July 29. Beavers contributed to the Law School Legal Technology panel, which focused on the benefits of training and exposing law school students on legal technology. The panel also discussed the benefits that technologically-savvy students carry into practice upon graduation

“Law schools can play an important role in the introduction of technology products to tomorrow’s lawyer,” said Beavers. “It is incumbent upon us to join the conversation to help drive innovation to the marketplace. Today’s tech-savvy law students are natives to evolving technology so we need them to have a chair at the table as users and ambassadors on the benefits and efficiencies technology brings to the delivery of legal services. From sizeable business law firm to the solo practitioner on Main Street, technology touches all.”

The panel was a segment of the Citrix Legal Advisory Program, a two-day discussion on technology in the legal sector including practice management and legal technology consultants from across the country.

Last October Campbell Law and Citrix announced a partnership which provides the law school community with workflow and communications cloud technology through Citrix-based ShareFile, Podio and GoToMeeting products.
