Benson resident elected to Campbell Board of Trustees

Buies Creek, N.C.-Suzanne B. Cook, of Benson, N.C., has been elected to the Campbell University Board of Trustees. Cook is the president of the Benton Card Company in Benson.

A graduate of Brenau University, Cook is active in her community, serving as a past president of the Benson Area Chamber of Commerce and holding memberships on numerous boards, including the Johnston County Community Foundation, the Benson Rescue Squad, the Benson Area Medical Center and Johnston County Habitat for Humanity. In addition, she is a member of the Benson Area Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee. In 2001, Cook was named Benson Area Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year.

She and her husband Steve are members of the Benson United Methodist Church where she serves as treasurer, a member of the choir and is the past president of the United Methodist Women. Cook has served a previous term as a member of the Campbell University Presidential Board of Advisors.
