Boroughs elected to Campbell University Advisory Board

Gladys Boroughs of Greensboro, N.C., has been elected to Campbell University’s Presidential Board of Advisors. Boroughs is the wife of the late Lewis Boroughs, a longtime friend and benefactor of Campbell.Active in civic life, Gladys Boroughs has been a member of the General Federation of Women, serving as president of the local club, district and state organizations. She also served as chaplain at both the state and regional levels.She is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro, where she has served as a Sunday school teacher for over five decades and was president and director of the Woman’s Missionary Union. In addition, Boroughs served as a deacon and chair of the Board of Deacons for her church.A graduate of Gardner Webb University, Boroughs is the recipient of an Associate of Arts degree. She also attended George Washington University.She and her late husband are the parents of three children, Elaine B. McRae and Miriam A. Boroughs of Greensboro, and the late Kenneth Boroughs.
