Borree P. Kwok named Director of Carrie Rich Memorial Library

 Ms. Borree P. Kwok has been named Director of the Carrie Rich Memorial Library at Campbell University. Ms. Kwok has served in a variety of capacities in the Carrie Rich Library since 1993, and has had extensive experience in both cataloguing and technical services.  Utilizing her proficiencies in research and data analysis, she also served as Campbell’s Director of Institutional Research from 1999-2001.Her academic preparation includes the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1984 jointly from Hong Kong Baptist College and Whitworth College, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Hong Kong in 1989, and a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992.  Through this period she also spent five years as a high school teacher in Hong Kong, and added valuable experience in the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Library and the Library of Congress.In making the announcement, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Dr. Dwaine Greene said:  “Ms. Kwok is a gifted professional as well as a fine colleague.  Her superb academic preparation, her range of experience in library environments, her expertise in information systems and her progressive approach to challenges facing higher education libraries make her well-suited to lead the library operations here at Campbell.  We are thrilled that she is committing her considerable skills to this important role.”Ms. Kwok, her husband Siuki Wong, and their two children, Eugene and Seraphina, live in the Buies Creek area.  They are active members of Memorial Baptist Church.
