Brown graduates from Leadership Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law Director of Development Trudi Brown graduated from Leadership Raleigh on Thursday, June 5. The exclusive nine-month program, organized by the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, prepares the leaders of tomorrow by establishing an in-depth view of community issues, developing leadership skills and exposing participants to community involvement opportunities.

“Participating in Leadership Raleigh was a valuable experience,” said Brown. “I enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about our community and form new and lasting relationships with other professionals. I look forward to continuing to support and help grow the Raleigh area alongside my colleagues in the organization.”

Leadership Raleigh participants meet and discuss issues with key community leaders. Participants study the qualities that make an effective leader, analyze individual leadership roles, and develop personal leadership styles and skills. They are then challenged to apply their talents by joining professional associations, civic clubs, public boards and commissions.

Brown joined Campbell Law in April 2012, bringing more than 10 years’ experience in fundraising, event management, and volunteer and board relations to the law school. Prior to Campbell Law she served at NC State University’s Poole College of Management as director of development and external relations, working with alumni, corporations, and friends to secure financial support and identify opportunities to develop partnerships in support of the college’s students, faculty, and staff. She also served as the manager of annual programs and foundation operations at the WakeMed Foundation.

In addition to Brown, Judge Paul Ridgeway (L ’86) was inducted to the Leadership Raleigh Hall of Fame.
