Campbell Business School honored and celebrated alumni on Oct. 18 as past graduates returned to engage with current students on Alumni Celebration Day.
“We are always excited to recognize the achievements of our alumni,” said the event organizer, Alumni Relations Coordinator Jill Williamson. “Alumni Celebration Day is a time for folks to come back, not only to campus, but to the Business School, and share their Campbell stories. I hear so many times that it feels like coming home.”
Held just before Campbell’s Saturday Homecoming & Family weekend festivities, the day featured an awards ceremony in Lynch Auditorium. About 20 alumni returned to campus to speak in classes throughout the day.
“I am always happily surprised at the number of alumni who are eager to come back to speak,” Williamson continued. “They, like our Alumni Mentors for our BADM 100 and 200 classes, are giving a little time, but providing so much to our current students, who are looking at them and seeing future possibilities for themselves.”
The business school also honored Emily Bratton (‘15, Trust and Wealth Management 4+1 MBA) with the 2019 Outstanding Young Alumna award. Mike Seibert (’93, MBA) was named the 2019 Outstanding Alumnus.
Dr. Mike Seibert is the Director of the International Business Development (IBD) program for the NC Small Business & Technology Development Center (SBTDC). He also serves as Regional Director for the SBTDC at NC State University. The SBTDC is an inter-institutional program of the UNC System.

“Alumni Celebration Day provides a time for alumni to reconnect with friends, their university and great memories,” said Dean Kevin O’Mara. “It also allows current students to hear from people who literally sat in the same seats they sit in today, so it offers a potential glimpse of their own futures.”
