Business School announces new director of career services and professional development

Campbell Business School Dean Kevin O’Mara has announced that Jill Williamson has been promoted to Director of Career Services and Professional Development for the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business.

Williamson has served as Director of Alumni and External Relations since December 2019 and Alumni Relations Coordinator since June 2015.

“I see my role as to guide our Business students from college to careers following Campbell’s mission of ‘Leading with Purpose,’” Williamson said.  “I bring career opportunities to students and alumni of strong character and great potential. I seek out employers and firms to whom our students and alumni can bring a positive and effective impact to meet their organization’s goals, through internships and permanent hires.”

Williamson’s new responsibilities include developing relationships with employers across different industries and varying sizes, customizing workshops and round tables for professional development topics and preparing business students for various aspects of their career with resume preparation, customary business etiquette and attire, and effective networking and negotiating skills.

Williamson is a graduate of North Carolina State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. Jill has been with the School of Business for six years. Before joining the Campbell community, she worked for a government contracting firm and jointly owned and operated two family businesses, which provides her with a vast amount of professional experience.
