The Lundy Fetterman School of Business inaugural sales team attended the National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC) at Kennesaw State University.

Campbell was one of 72 schools to compete.

The 2023 team included Landon Clifton, Taylor Wood, Ethan Quarshie, Daniel Wood, and Claire Taylor, with Dr. Michael Rodriguez serving as their coach.

The competition consisted of a bracket style ‘sales role play’ event and a speed selling event.

Taylor Wood and Landon Clifton competed in the role play event. They placed 6th and 7th, respectively in round 1, and both placed 4th in the wildcard round.

“This was the best exposure opportunity I have taken advantage of during my time at Campbell,” said Landon Clifton. “I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to connect, not only with potential employers and professors, but also with peers from all over the country and abroad.”

Senior, Ethan Quarshie, described his experience competing in the speed selling event as insightful, and shared, “I enjoyed talking with the companies present, telling them about my experience, and opening their eyes to what Campbell University is all about.”

Dr. Rodriguez and the current members of the 2023 Campbell University Sales Team are excited to keep growing, developing, and competing.

Taylor Wood commented, “I have thoroughly enjoyed being a founding member and competitor of Campbell’s first Sales Team. Thanks to our incredible coach, Dr. Rodriguez, my team and I have improved our sales skills, learned to build rapport, worked on closing deals effectively, and better understand the overall sales process.”

Taylor will serve as the President of the Fall 2023 – Spring 2024 team.
