Campbell Adult & Online Education lowers undergraduate tuition

Campbell University Adult & Online Education announced this week a reduced undergraduate tuition rate of $400 per credit hour, beginning with the Summer 2026 session, which starts May 18.

This move reinforces the University’s commitment to expanding access to high quality higher education for working adults, military affiliated students and lifelong learners, said Nicole M. Winget, dean of Adult & Online Education.

At a time when the cost of living and the cost of college continue to rise nationwide, she said Campbell is “taking a decisive step in the opposite direction.” By lowering tuition for Adult & Online undergraduate courses, the University is making it easier for more students to pursue their academic goals without sacrificing quality, flexibility or career relevance.

“We know how transformative higher education can be, not just for individuals, but for families, workplaces, and communities,” Winget said. “As President William M. Downs has shared, the world needs more Campbell. This tuition decrease reflects our commitment to leading with purpose and removing financial barriers so more students can earn a respected, top-notch degree.”

National data shows that college tuition has steadily increased over time, often outpacing inflation and placing additional strain on adult learners who are balancing work, family, and financial responsibilities. In contrast, Campbell University’s Adult & Online Education program is choosing to invest directly in access and affordability, ensuring that cost does not stand in the way of opportunity.

The reduced tuition rate applies to undergraduate Adult & Online Education courses, which are designed with flexibility in mind and taught by experienced faculty committed to student success. Programs emphasize practical skills, leadership development, and ethical decision making, all hallmarks of a Campbell education.

With this tuition decrease, Campbell University continues its mission of preparing students for purposeful lives and meaningful service while responding to the real financial challenges facing today’s learners.
