The Lundy-Fetterman School of Business is proud to recognize alumna Shelly Orsi, who was a recipient of the 40 Under 40 award for Providence Business News.
Orsi, a Campbell Business Trust and Wealth Management and MBA graduate, is a Senior Vice President and Investment Supervision Executive for the Private Bank. She thanked Campbell for its impact on her career.
“I credit Campbell with much of my success. Coming in as a freshman in 2000, I started my journey towards a degree in history and political science. After one business law class, I was approached by Jimmy Witherspoon to join the Trust Program and never looked back! Due to the relationship Campbell had with Bank of America at the time, I was able to do internships in both Dallas Texas and New York City before settling in Rhode Island after graduation. Without those opportunities, I would have never ended up in Rhode Island. In addition to my professional success, several of my closest friendships remain those that flourished on campus.”
Orsi joined the Private Bank in 2003 as an intern in Dallas, Texas, and returned in 2004 as an intern in New York City. Upon graduation in 2005, she joined the bank full time as a Trust Officer in the Providence, Rhode Island office. In 2009 she became the Business Support Manager for the Northeast Emerging Wealth Division, playing a critical role in the successful implementation of Emerging Wealth. She was promoted to Market Trust Director within Emerging Wealth where she managed a team of Trust Officers and approximately $900 Million in assets under management. In 2014, she was sought after to become the Business Support Manager for the development and launch of the Portfolio Oversight Team.
Orsi earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Trust and Investment Management and a minor in Financial Planning from Campbell University, and later a Master of Business Administration from Campbell University. She is recognized by the Institute of Certified Bankers as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.
Orsi resides in North Kingstown, RI with her husband, two kids and two dogs. Read more from her interview with Providence Business News here.
