Campbell Business holds freshmen trust dinner at Angus Barn

Business - Trust Freshmen Dinner

BUIES CREEK – The Campbell Business Trust & Wealth Management program recently hosted more than 50 trust freshmen and upper class mentors at the Angus Barn in Raleigh. This event, made possible due to the generosity of the Trust Education Foundation, Inc., actually goes back a number of decades and is an annual rite of passage for students.

Campbell Business is currently celebrating its 50th year of its Trust & Wealth Management program, the only such undergraduate program of its kind in the United States.

The program is led by Campbell Business Jefferson Pilot Associate Professor of Business and Finance Jimmy Witherspoon. He is a graduate of the program himself.

“The annual freshman dinner, along with the annual junior dinner held at Pinehurst Country Club, and the countless other networking opportunities trust majors are presented with over their years at Campbell are actually one of the many reasons for the fierce loyalty of our alumni and our success in placing our graduates,” said Witherspoon. “Our almost 2,000 alumni nationwide know that from literally day one they were made to feel a very special part of the Campbell trust family and that carries over.

“I am so proud of the great kids we have entering the program as freshmen this year. We want to get to know them even better and we also want them to get to know each other. After all, years from now they will still be friends, colleagues, the senior managers of some of the nation’s major financial institutions and will no doubt be hiring and mentoring the Campbell trust majors of tomorrow!”
