Campbell Business hosts Southeastern Trust School

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell Business School is serving as the host of 45th annual Southeastern Trust School (SETS) May 30 through June 6. A nationally recognized continuing education program for trust bankers, SETS offers participants both Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, Accredited Trust Financial Advisor and Certified Financial Planner educational credit. Program graduates are also eligible to bypass the first year of study for the three-year National Graduate Trust School offered by the American Bankers Association. The SETS faculty is comprised of leading attorneys, investment experts, and trust managers from around the southeast. Eleven different financial institutions from across six states are represented by 80 bankers at this year’s program. Participants are exposed to the very latest in regulatory requirements and planning strategies in the areas of law, taxation, administration, employee benefits, financial planning, investments, and estate planning.

SETS is one of several continuing education programs offered nationwide by the Trust Education Foundation, whose mission is to support the undergraduate Trust & Wealth Management degree program offered at Campbell Business. The degree program is the only one of its type in the nation.

Trust & Wealth Management graduates are employed each year by financial institutions such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, BB&T, JP Morgan, Regions Bank, and First Citizens Bank. With a more than 90 percent job placement rate within one month of graduation, trust graduates are in very high demand all around the United States.

In addition to the undergraduate program, Campbell Business offers the Master of Trust & Wealth Management degree evening program to working adults interested in entering the trust profession. Classes for the program are held at Campbell Law School in downtown Raleigh.

Profits generated by SETS and all of the programs offered by the Foundation each year are used to fund scholarships for Campbell Business Trust majors.
