Campbell Business, Trust Education Foundation hosts 24th annual Trust Advisors Forum

PINEHURST — Campbell Business School and the Trust Education Foundation (TEF) partnered to host the 24th annual Trust Advisors Forum, Feb. 22-25, at Pinehurst Resort. The largest forum in program history, over 262 attendees across 32 states and 120 organizations participated. More than 50 students from the Campbell Business undergraduate and Masters of Trust & Wealth Management programs also attended, as well as 44 event sponsors.
“It is an honor for Campbell Business School to partner with the Trust Education Foundation to deliver continuing education to trust professionals from around the country and to expose our students to this wonderful community each year,” said Campbell Business Dean Keith Faulkner. “The forum provides a chance to showcase the unique nature of our undergraduate and graduate programs in trust and wealth management on a national stage.”
The forum is the largest conference of its kind for trust professionals in the U.S.
During the forum the TEF presented Campbell University President Dr. Jerry Wallace with a check for $100,000 to assist in the financing of funding the First Citizens Wealth Management Center. All Campbell Business students will benefit from the addition, which will provide cutting edge, state-of-the-art technology and databases that will prepare students for exciting careers.
“No graduate of any other program in the country will be as prepared as ours to enter the financial services industry,” said Campbell Business Associate Professor Jimmy Witherspoon. “This is truly an exciting time for trust majors.”
The forum began on Sunday, Feb. 23, with a reception, as well as remarks by Paul Clark, 2015 TEF Chair, and Becky Kelly, TEF Executive Director.
The event continued on over the course of the following three days with sessions and panel discussions that focused on estate planning, management, regulatory updates, economics market outlook, fiduciary income taxation, investments and loans, among other topics.
Over the years, proceeds from the event have funded more than $1 million in scholarship to support the Trust & Wealth Management Program – the only one of its kind in the nation.
