Campbell Business, University of Reading establish 5 certificate programs

BUIES CREEK — Campbell Business School and the University of Reading have formed a collaborative partnership to award students five different certificates, as announced by Campbell Business Dean Keith Faulkner. The partnership allows Campbell Business undergraduate and graduate students to earn a widely-recognized credential through courses taken exclusively at Campbell Law School’s downtown Raleigh campus.

Campbell Law and the University of Reading previously announced a partnership this past January.

Campbell Business students will now have the option to earn the following credentials:

Advanced Certificate in International Business Law

Advanced Certificate in Transnational Law & Negotiation

Executive Certificate in Negotiation

Certificate in Business Negotiation

Certificate in Transnational Law & Negotiation.

All certificates will be awarded by the University of Reading and administered by the University of Reading Centre for Commercial Law & Financial Regulation.

“We are excited to partner with the University of Reading to offer our students these exciting new credentials,” said Faulkner. “Many of our graduates deal with significant global business issues through their daily work, and it is our hope that these new programs will better position Campbell Business graduates to excel upon graduation.”

The Advanced Certificate in International Business Law is open to law, graduate business, and degree-holding students. The certificate provides a thorough grounding in domestic and international business and law, as well as providing recipients with key skills that will set them apart. Students must take International Business Transactions, Advanced Negotiation & Analysis, and nine hours of electives.

The Advanced Certificate in Transnational Law & Negotiation is open to law, graduate, and degree-holding students. The certificate focuses more on public law, and the political and legal systems within which businesses, governments, and private individuals operate. Students must take Comparative Constitutional Law, Advanced Negotiation & Analysis, and nine hours of electives.

The Executive Certificate in Negotiation is open to undergraduate, graduate, law, and degree-holding students. The certificate provides a platform for students to learn to think critically, communicate and negotiate effectively, and learn and develop analytical skills developed in the intelligence community and adapted for use in the public and private sectors. Students must take Advanced Negotiation & Analysis and have completed an assortment of prerequisite requirements.

The Certificate in Business Negotiation is open to undergraduate and business degree-holding students. The certificate provides students with an opportunity to obtain and tangibly demonstrate proficiency in negotiation within a business setting. Students must take Advanced Negotiation & Analysis and have completed an assortment of prerequisite requirements.

The Certificate in Transnational Law & Negotiation is open to undergraduate and degree-holding students. The certificate provides a knowledge and understanding of the workings of legal and political systems, as well as the development of negotiation and analytical skills. Students must take Comparative Constitutional Law, Negotiation & Analysis, and nine hours of electives.
