Campbell Divinity to hold 3 public concerts during worship music conference 7/18-7/20

BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – During its 6th annual worship music conference OASIS: Renew for the Journey July 18-20, the Campbell University Divinity School will hold three concerts in Butler Chapel that are free and open to the public:

  • Monday, July 18 | 7 p.m. | Butler Chapel
    • Hymn Festival: To Tell Your Ways
      The festival will feature composer/arranger Benjamin Harlan on piano and Jane Holstein on organ, and be led by a combined choir comprised of singers from area churches, the N.C. Brass Quintet, and timpani.
  • Tuesday, July 19 | 7 p.m. | Butler Chapel
    • Festival Choir Concert
      Directed by Larry Dickens, Duncan Chair and Associate Professor of Church Music & Worship at Campbell Divinity, this concert will feature the Campbell Divinity Festival Choir, Cynthia Clawson, and Ragan Courtney.
  • Wednesday, July 20 | 7 p.m. | Butler Chapel
    • N.C. Baptist All-State Youth Choir Concert
      OASIS will close with the N.C. Baptist All-State Youth Choir.

Designed to provide worship leaders with an opportunity to “reflect, renew and rest,” the three-day OASIS conference will include several worship services, time for fellowship, and breakout sessions led by nationally-known church leaders. Campbell Divinity held the first OASIS conference in 2011.
