Campbell University’s employee giving campaign this spring resulted in a 92-percent participation rate, the Office for Advancement announced this week. That makes five years in a row the University’s employees — there are currently 911 faculty and staff employed full time — have reached at least 90-percent participation in the “My Gift. My Impact.” program.
“Our employees support Campbell and its mission in many ways, and that includes giving,” said Tammi Fries, director of annual giving.“Employees give because they want students to have scholarships, opportunities and an overall exemplary educational experience. Their gifts directly impact our students, our campus and our Campbell community.”
According to a 2014 survey conducted by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, only a third of colleges and universities surveyed have employee giving rates of 75 percent or higher. Fries called the streak of high employee support at Campbell “truly amazing.”
“To have their continuous support, year after year, speaks to the love we have for Campbell and our students,” she said. “Together, we are doing great things, and that’s why Campbell leads.”
