Campbell employees set new giving record; 97 percent give back

BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – Campbell University’s 2016 employee giving campaign, My Gift. My Impact., reached its goal of 97 percent. The campaign had 800 employees contribute directly to a university fund of their choice. These contributions included support to the Fund for Campbell direct aid scholarship for students, endowed scholarships, academic programs, athletics, and capital campaigns.

“What I love about this campaign is that the employees are making a very strong statement about their commitment to our students and the mission of Campbell,” said Tammi Fries ’04, director of annual giving. “Our employees understand the importance of giving back. Because of this strong statement, we can now ask our alumni to join us in making the same commitment that ultimately benefits our students.”

The campaign kicked off at the on-campus Starbucks on Feb. 23 and ended April 15. During that time, 30 departments reached 100 percent giving. The employees celebrated with an appreciation lunch April 21.

“This level of participation is just incredible,” said Britt Davis, vice president for institutional advancement and senior advisor to the president. “We are deeply grateful and proud of our employees and their love of Campbell University and our students.”
