On Feb. 21, Campbell University’s Mabel Powell English Club visited Harnett County’s Universal Health Care nursing home to read Bible scripture to the residents. “We visited the residents to support Campbell’s mission statement and to honor the late Campbell English Professor Mabel Powell through a community service activity,” said Nathan Salsbury, Instructor of English and advisor to the Mabel Powell English Club/The Lyricist.
The club has been visiting the nursing home every year since 2007.
