Buies Creek, N.C. –Campbell University Registrar David McGirt has reported a record enrollment for fall 2008. Over 3,000 undergraduate students will attend classes on the main campus, while another 2,300 students are enrolled in graduate and extended campus programs. These figures do not include the number of students enrolled in the extended campus program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia or those in distance learning programs.
“Faculty and staff are dancing on the Academic Circle, they are so excited about this banner enrollment at Campbell,” said McGirt. “For the first time in Campbell’s history, enrollment has topped 3,000 on the main campus.”
Campbell’s Medallion ceremony for fall 2008 was held Sunday, August 17, welcoming all new students to Campbell. As their names were called, each student walked to the front of the auditorium to receive a medallion engraved with the Campbell Seal and his or her anticipated graduation date.
“I am pleased to welcome you to Campbell University,” said President Jerry M. Wallace. “In every way a university can be measured, Campbell excels.”
