Campbell University will host two classical concerts Sunday as part of the Cultures: International Concerts for Peace concert series. Both concerts are open to the public with free admission.

In the afternoon, the Campbell University Sandhills Wind Symphony will perform a unique concert featuring works ranging from George Gershwin to songs from Disney movies. This concert will serve as a live recording session for the ensemble as they prepare for international performances.

The Wind Symphony will perform at the Beethoven House in Bonn, Germany, and the Jazz Ensemble will perform in Cologne, Germany, after performing in Washington, D.C. this summer.

In the evening, Butler Chapel will feature the original piece Mozart’s Women by Donald Martin, professor of clarinet at Campbell. This concert tells the story of the women in Wolfgang Mozart’s life.

This specific performance will feature The Sandhills Chamber Players as well as Campbell University alumnus Catherine Kelly and current students Jacquelynn Martin and Michelle Jewell.

This cast will perform in Vienna, Austria, June 30 and July 1, 2017.
