RALEIGH — Campbell Law School third-year students Tia Overway, Jacob Byrd and Mary Catherine Coltrane competed in the 38th annual Jerome Prince Memorial Competition from March 30 through April 1, 2023.

The competition was hosted by Brooklyn Law School in Brooklyn, New York. The team was proudly coached by Campbell Law alumnae Jaime Williams ’15, who stated, “I commend the advocates for the exceptional time and effort that they put into this multifaceted moot court problem. They received consistent compliments for both their preparation and presentation.”

The team placed as Quarterfinalists.

The Dean Jerome Prince Memorial Evidence Competition is named in honor of the late Jerome Prince, renowned evidence scholar, teacher, and author of Prince on Evidence. Jerome Prince served as Dean of Brooklyn Law School from 1953 to 197. The competition is hosted by Brooklyn Law School’s Moot Court Honor Society and provides law students from across the nation the opportunity to write and argue an appellate brief that addresses evidentiary issues in a contemporary context.

The team is enormously grateful for the support of the faculty/staff who aid in making opportunities like these possible.
