Campbell Law Career Center holds fifth-annual Mock Interview Day

RALEIGH, N.C. – Thirty Campbell Law students participated in the Campbell Law Career & Professional Development Center’s fifth-annual Mock Interview Day on Friday, Feb. 5. Each student was paired with one of five participating employers, three of which earned their juris doctor at Campbell Law, in an effort to improve their interview skills prior to seeking professional employment. Each participating employer volunteered their time to help better prepare the next generation of Campbell Law attorneys.

“Mock interviews allow our students a platform to enhance their interview skills with practicing professionals in a real-world setting,” said Campbell Law Career Center Director Julie Beavers. “The professionals provide our students with real time feedback on how they can improve their interview techniques. Students learn a great deal from that constructive feedback as well as a glimpse of what employers are seeking from law students as they look to hire summer interns.

“We appreciate members of our local legal community giving their time and efforts to this valuable learning experience for our students.”

The Campbell Law Career Center also hosted a networking luncheon as a part of the program. The luncheon provided students an opportunity to get to know each participating interviewer, representing several different types of law and employment throughout North Carolina.
