Campbell Law Career Center holds fourth-annual Mock Interview Day

RALEIGH, N.C. – Nearly 40 Campbell Law students participated in the Campbell Law Career & Professional Development Center’s fourth-annual Mock Interview Day on Friday, Jan. 30. Each student was paired with one of seven participating employers, six of which earned their juris doctor at Campbell Law, in an effort to improve their interview skills prior to seeking professional employment. Each participating employer volunteered their time to help better prepare the next generation of Campbell Law attorneys.

“Campbell Law’s mock interview program is a valuable exercise for our students because it provides them with a platform to enhance their interview skills with actual practicing professionals in a real-world setting,” said Campbell Law Career Center Director Julie Beavers. “The professionals provide our students with real time feedback on how they can improve their interview techniques. Students learn a great deal from that constructive feedback as well as a glimpse of what employers are seeking from law students as they look to hire summer interns.

“We are very appreciative of the fact that so many members of the local legal community volunteer their time and expertise to provide such a beneficial learning opportunity to our students.”

The Campbell Law Career Center also hosted a networking luncheon as a part of the program. The luncheon provided students an opportunity to get to know each participating interviewer, representing several different types of law and employment throughout North Carolina.
