Campbell Law Career Center Hosts Second-Annual Mock Interview Day

RALEIGH, N.C. – Fifty-three Campbell Law students participated in the Campbell Law Career & Professional Development Center’s Second-Annual Mock Interview Day on Friday, Jan. 25. Each student was paired with one of eight participating employers, six of which earned their juris doctor at Campbell Law, in an effort to improve their interview skills prior to seeking professional employment. Each participating employer volunteered their time to help better prepare the next generation of Campbell Law attorneys.

Student participation in the program increased by more than 20-percent from last year’s inaugural event.

“Campbell Law consistently looks for avenues to provide our students with practical interview experience,” said Julie Beavers, Campbell Law Career & Professional Development Center Director. “Our mock interview program provides a platform for our students to refine and polish their interview skills with actual practicing attorneys in a real-word setting. Following each interview, students receive candid feedback on how they might improve their interview techniques, and our interviewers offer insight on what employers are seeking from potential hires in today’s market. This is a great asset for our students, and we are so thankful for the participation that we receive from volunteer attorneys in the area.”

The Campbell Law Career Center also hosted a networking luncheon as a part of the program. The luncheon provided students an opportunity to get to know each participating interviewer, representing several different types of law and employment throughout North Carolina.
